What goes up – must come down…

Our drive from Leadville to Denver was just over 3 hours and we spent about one-third of that time with our 4-way flashers on… slow moving vehicle going up

Nevertheless the drive was memorable – atop the Rockies Scenic Byway;  360º view of snow capped Rocky Mountains; entering the 2-mile Johnson Tunnel carved through the mountain and melting snow water falls.

But none so memorable as coming down…way down… into Denver –

Just about there...

Just about there…

We actually exited off this highway before getting right to the end and I could just imagine what that very last sign said –

By the way, these signs were talking to us also!

Those mountain drives are tough. We did them last year. But the views are the best. Glad you made it without any trouble:)

How were the signs talking to you?
